Lions and flies

Swarms of vicious stomoxys, or stable, flies have recently killed at least six lions in Tanzania’s famed Ngorongoro crater park.

Apparently, this is not the first time a plague of flies has decimated the lion population in the park. In 1961-62, heavy rains permitted the stable-fly population to breed constantly for over six months, and by the end of the rains the lion population had dropped to around ten.

Money

Here’s everything you ever wanted to know about US money.

Priceless

Ok, kids, I’m back from a long and fun-filled weekend in Atlanta, and I’m ready to start Monday off with a bang.

For your early dose of weekly cruelty, I highly recommend Priceless, which is a site dedicated to conserving “life’s precious moments, caught on film,” among other funnies, such as a “Survival Guide for Taking a Dump at Work.”

Gone 404

Yes kids, it’s true. In a little over three weeks, I’ll be moving to Atlanta. As of today, I’ve accepted a position at Sprint‘s Internet Service Center. More fun than I can handle will be sure to follow.

Ronald

So we found this evil dead fiberglass clown in a crate on Ebay the other day ….

DeCSS

Wow. DeCSS in a 7-line, 531-byte Perl file.

I think I know what my new email .sig will be.
