Fear! Muppetization is spreading!

Because some people didn’t think the song was bad enough, they made a video. Since that still wasn’t quite as embarrassing as they’d hoped, they made a T-shirt. Even worse, there’s the original website.

Exercise can make you smarter. I would agree on this, but I can’t remember how to take off my shoes.

I should have found Gethightech.com on Tuesday. They have all kinds of Palm hardware, from replacement digitizer screens to neato clear graphite case shells. Even better, they’ve got pictoral repair instructions!

I feel that I’ve accomplished something today. My little Palm IIIx, on which I’ve lavished so much attention and cash, died today. 🙁

When I turned it on, all I saw on the screen were alternating vertical lines. I replaced the batteries, backed up my software, did soft resets, hard resets, to no avail. I finally called Palm Tech Support, who didn’t answer any questions and merely wanted me to fork over $100 for repair. By this time, I’d already taken the case off, so I declined their kind offer. I found the ribbon cable that goes from the board to the display, and shoved it back into its socket. I put the case back on, replaced the batteries, and it started up, as good as new.

Weeks of dealing with Kevin has turned both me and Kelli into Muppets.

If this isn’t a big “EFF YOU” to a certain unnammed broadcasting company, I don’t know what is.
