Yay! I’m now a citizen of Cyber Yugoslavia!

Neat idea: InForm acts as a type of Napster for your bookmarks, allowing you to search the bookmark lists of others.

In the search for better web-mapping tools, I’ve found IOD, from the [highly weird] people at Backspace.org. The interface is obscure and CAD-like, but the results are exhaustively phenomenal. Consider this: IOD crawls a site for all its links, plots them, then crawls each plotted link for links, plots them, then plots all links off those links. For the last few days, I’ve been trapped in Video Card Hell.

I decided on Friday that I really needed a better video card, so I bought an ASUS AGP-V7700 GeForce2 GTS Deluxe. When I installed it, I immediately started having problems: the BIOS display was filled with weird blinking white dots, and Win2k would crash before it got past the loading screen. After lots of testing, I found that the card would do this regardless of which computer I put it in, so the only thing I could think of was a corrupted BIOS on the card itself.

Be warned, unbelievers. When my hordes of Evil Minions take over the world, they’ll be armed with weapons such as these. And the world shall tremble.

Remember that old game that we used to play, called Starcraft? Remember that unit that said, in a woman’s voice, “Five by five”? I do, and I always wanted to know: five by five whats? Well, I’ve found out, and you can too.
