Marking Martian craters has never been so easy, or so much fun!
This is an experiment in distributed computing, where volunteers can log on and classify Martian craters, work that is easy but very time-consuming. According to the site, “Since inception on November 17, 2000, all clickworkers combined have contributed 15947 crater-marking and 4398 crater-classification entries.” It’s much more entertaining than playing Solitaire.
So the Backstreet Boys, N’Sync, and Britney Spears aren’t really all that holy. There goes my weekend.
Possible Unxmaal.com feature: Big Linkage. It’s supposed to be a script that goes through my archives, finds the links, and lists them on one big page. I suck at Perl, so any pointers would be much appreciated.
