OSX86

Every once in a while, usually during a slow news period, some OSOpinion dork will post something about HOW APAL SHUD PUT OSSXX ON TEH PEE CEE!111.

This will never happen. Ever.

At least not in the way you think. Apple might switch from the Motorola g-chips to an x86 chip, but the OS will never officially run on off-the-shelf x86 PCs.

If Apple were to release a version of OSX for the PC, they’d be squashed like a little bug by Microsoft within two years.

VNV Nation

On a Friday night, what can be better than posting via wireless while sipping an iced mocha?

Why, attending a VNV Nation concert, of course! Even better, having a new friend to go with!

Daemon Tools

Rather than shuffling the multiple CDs required to play today’s games, you can make .iso images of your game CDs [or other CDs], copy the images to your large hard drive, and using Daemon Tools, mount the images directly. This freeware app makes CD management a breeze.

eyeglasses

Megan and I went shopping for eyeglasses tonight. We didn’t even leave the house — we used Megan’s spiffy new iBook to wirelessly shoot a couple goofy photos of each other and upload them to eyeglasses.com. Their “eTryItOn” feature is now officially the coolest interactive feature with the least creative name. Go try it — use your favorite cartoon character, even. It’s a kick.

New Logo

Congrats to me. After a year and three months, I’ve made a new logo. Yay!

LAN Party definition

For the uninitiated, here’s a definition of the term “LAN Party”: “an event where people interested in multi player computer network games bring their computers to a location, hook them together via networking equipment, and play games for hours at a time.”

The event at Michael’s on Saturday night was nowhere near as large as those pictured on linked site, but there was about twelve guests, much Xbox playing, much pool, and the consuming of large quantities of beer and chips.

LAN Party

W00t! Spending the weekend in Huntsville, and going to a massive LAN party at Michael’s place. Yay!

Game Music

You’ll find a treasure trove of video game music over at GamingForce. Faves include rave remixes of Castlevania and Disney songs, and lots of full soundtracks.

If Susi finds out that they have full albums of every Dance Dance Revolution soundtracks, Kayvan’s in trouble.
